Golden Compass Tours is a Lagos womenswear house making bold, wearable pieces in hand-dyed adire, linen and cotton — cut for women who dress with intent.
Our position
When we started there were two options for a woman who wanted something well made: a tailor who would take six weeks and improvise, or an import rail with nothing above a size 14. We built the middle — a fixed range of silhouettes, drafted once and properly, cut to order in a week.
Everything is made in the Ikeja atelier by fourteen people we employ directly. The adire comes from named dyers in Abeokuta, the linen from two mills we have bought from since the first season. Nothing is outsourced to a factory we have not stood inside.

Sizes 6 to 22, always
Every silhouette is graded across the full range before it goes on sale. No size is a special order.
No closed drop is restocked
When a numbered run ends it ends. The women who bought it keep something rare.
The first alteration is free
Fit is part of the garment, not an upsell. Thirty days, no receipt argument.
We name our suppliers
Ask where a metre of cloth came from and you will get a dyer's name, not a country.
Process
Fabric first
We buy adire directly from dyers in Abeokuta and linen from two mills we have used since 2017. If the cloth is not right, the piece never gets drafted.
Drape on a body
Every silhouette is draped on a live fit model between a size 12 and a size 18 before it is graded, so the middle of the range is the best fit, not the smallest.
Cut to order
Nothing is mass-cut. Your size is cut after you order, which is why lead time is seven to ten days and why we waste almost no fabric.
Finish and fit
Hems, linings and closures are finished by hand in Ikeja. Bring the piece back within thirty days and the first alteration is on us.
